Economic Impact & Development

Economic development on tribal lands has unique opportunities and issues.  Understanding how the differences in Indian country regarding land ownership, mortgage colateral, tax benefits, zoning and operating regulations, leasing and partnerships, government versus private ownership, membership input, infrastructure and many other matters affect the feasibility and profit potential of economic development projects that do not include gaming is critical to maximizing the benfits of tribal economic development and avoiding pitfalls that can delay or kill a project.  This panel of experts and tribal leaders will share hard-learned lessons and insights to assist tribes in finding the best projects for their people and bringing them to successful fruition.
