Robin Villareal

Chief Information Officer, Gila River Hotels & Casinos

Robin Villareal holds the distinction of being the first Native American female Chief Information Officer for Gila River Resorts and Casinos. Her career path has been both dynamic and non-traditional, beginning in Food and Beverage and evolving into leadership roles that have shaped the growth and success of the organization. Since 1995, Robin has played a pivotal role in opening seven casinos and supporting three major hotel resort expansions.

Robin is an active leader within the industry, serving on the Global Gaming Women's Membership Committee and currently in her second term on the Tribal-ISAC Steering Committee. Her contributions to technology and gaming have earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as one of the Women of Chandler 2023, one of AZ Business Magazine's 2023 Most Influential Women in Arizona, and a 2024 AZ Business Leader. Additionally, she has had the honor of serving as a judge for Global Gaming Business (GGB) Gaming & Technology Awards in both 2023 and 2024, which celebrate excellence and innovation on an international scale.

Robin's leadership philosophy is grounded in a people-first approach. She is deeply dedicated to fostering strong, collaborative teams and creating environments where individuals feel valued, empowered, and supported. Her loyalty to her community, her team, and her family is at the heart of everything she does, and her authentic, caring nature has been a driving force behind her success.

Proud of her heritage, Robin is a dedicated community member of the Gila River Indian Community and is Hopi descent from the Village of Shungopovi.
