Scott Riley

Executive Director, Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission

Scott Riley is a tribal member of the Pueblo of Laguna from the state of New Mexico. He is currently serving as the Executive Director for the Pueblo of Tesuque Gaming Commission. He previously served as the Tribal Compliance Officer at the New Mexico Gaming Control Board with the Office of the State Gaming Representative where he was responsible for monitoring compliance of the NM Tribal-State Gaming Compacts. Mr. Riley has worked in the tribal gaming industry since 2011, holding positions in both the gaming operation and regulatory agencies for the Pueblo of Acoma, Pueblo of Nambé and the Pueblo of Santa Clara.

He was recently appointed to serve as Chair for the New Mexico Association of Indian Gaming Commissions, an organization dedicated to supporting and promoting collaborative efforts among tribal gaming regulatory agencies to ensure the integrity of Indian Gaming and the protection of Tribal sovereignty. Since 2020, he has served as a Board Member for the Tribal Gaming Protection Network, a 501(c)6 non-profit organization founded to provide regulatory outreach, services, and education for the tribal gaming industry. Mr Riley was selected as one of the Emerging Leaders of Gaming 40 Under 40 Class of 2022. Scott received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Mexico - Native American Studies program with a concentration on Leadership and Native Nation Building and holds tribal gaming certifications from the Indian Gaming Association and the National Tribal Gaming Commissioners and Regulators.
